Christmas Help 2011
There are lots of families needing Christmas help in 2011. Many people lost their jobs and have
been struggling in 2011 and they need Christmas help. The good news is that there are many organizations with
Christmas help programs in 2011. There are lots of more organizations this year than last to offer help to needy
families and low income families.
Some Christmas help 2011 programs are offered by larger, established organizations but we have
also seen smaller organizations and community groups reaching out to offer help this year. The nearer it is to
Christmas, the more community organizations and groups offering help.
Get your Application in Early
Usually, Christmas help programs will not start accepting applications until early November
but this year, they are starting early. Keep an eye out for the earliest day you can submit your
application. More families need Christmas help this year than last and you will need to apply as early as you
can to get help. Last year, many families who apply late did not receive help so please apply as soon as you
can so that you are more likely to receive help this year.
Some organizations have already started accepting applications for Christmas Help 2011. We have
talked to quite a few of them and they are almost up to capacity. Even thought the deadline for Christmas Help 2011
applications is usually in late November or even early December, we are afraid that this year, they have to cut off
early because of the sheer number of applicants needing Christmas help.
If you attend a church, ask your church about their Christmas Help 2011 program. Many churches
have programs to help their community for Christmas. However, they usually have limited funding and rely on
donations. Many of them have Christmas stores where needy and low income families can shop for Christmas gifts for
free. Again, we have talked to churches about their Christmas help programs, donations and stores and donations are
down this year as well because lots of people cannot afford to donate and need help themselves. But, you can still
get help if you apply early. So, don't wait. If you think you might need help this Christmas, apply now.
